Have Absolute Faith in God Himself
Having faith without trust can be a risk, but faith in its fullness is having trust (firm belief). Trust is the very foundation of prayer. When there is no doubt and full trust in God, all that is left is the out stretching of the hand to receive. Trust is a conscious act, a fact of which we are aware. In order for faith to be powerful, prayer and trust in God are a necessity.
Jesus clearly taught his disciples that faith was a condition on which prayer was answered. In Mark 11:22-24. Jesus said, “Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have what so ever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”.
Notice Jesus said, “And shall not doubt in his heart, but believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass”. “Believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”, (firm belief). There must be an absolute trust that God is able to deliver.
Jesus had such trust and faith in His Father that He was able to complete His work and ministry for which He was sent to do. We also have been sent by God to do His ministry. In order for this to be possible we must also have full trust and faith in God. Not trust in the Word of God that He is able, but full trust and faith in God Himself that He is able. No matter what our circumstances, without a doubt God is able to keep all of His promises made to us in His Word.
In order for us to do the ministry we have been sent to do we must have absolute trust and faith as our prayers are sent to God. Our prayers must come from an undoubting heart, and not from our head.
We must start by praying for the Lord to increase our faith so there is no doubt left, and we are left with an undying trust in God Himself.
