Fighting the Tough Memories around the Holidays
For most of us the Holiday season is a joyful time, but there are so many who have lost loved ones near or on a Holiday, that being joyful becomes a very hard task. I have lost family members myself during the Holiday season, and instead of dreadfully missing them , which I really do miss them, I try to spend time reminiscing of the great times we shared during their lives and how they would not expect for me to feel sorrow for them since they have gone to be with the Lord. I instead try to think of what a wonderful birthday party is going on in the Heavenly realm, and how they are able to celebrate the Birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with Him in Person. How grateful I am to my Savior for giving me the comfort and strength I need in times like this when it is needed the most. And the knowledge that I will also join their celebration when my work here is done.
